40 Personal Beauty Questions Answered.

1. What skin type do you have?
I would say I have a combination of both dry and Oily. I am more dry along my forehead, my cheeks and my chin. I am most oily around my nose. Before I apply makeup I make sure to moisturize my dry spots and add primer along my oily parts.

2. What is your current facial wash?
I am currently using the Mary Kay Botanical Effects Cleanse formula 3. I absolutely love it and recommend it. It's a cleanser that purifies skin, but also cleanses all your pores and leaves your face feeling silky smooth. It's also wonderful for blemish-prone skin.

3. How many times do you wash your face daily?
Once. Usually when I wake up in the morning.

4. Do you exfoliate?
No. Unfortunately. I need to start though.

5. What moisturizer do you use?
Lubriderm. I began using this moisturizer when I got my first tattoo. I loved the fact that it was sent free and did not leave my skin feeling oily and greasy afterwards. I use it for all my moisturizing needs. I apply it after I shower, after I shave, and when my skin is feeling flaky and dry.

6. Do you use eye cream?
No. I did receive one in one of my Ipsy bags and I haven't used it yet. I think I'll try it out for a bit and do a review on it sometime soon.

7. Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Not to an extreme amount. I was one of the lucky ones that I have pretty clear skin. I get the occasional blemish here and there, especially when my monthly friend comes along, but for the most part I'm always pimple free.

8. What foundation do you use?
Maybelline - Fit Me Foundation (Buff Beige). I got this on a whim. I never ever use foundation. I was at target and honestly picked out the first brand I saw. I tried to match my color as close as possible and I hit it right on the money. I don't use it very often, but when I do, it leaves my skin nice and soft. I'll do a review on it soon.

9. How about concealer?
Yes. I can't live without it. Sheercover - Duo Concealer (Light/Medium). I got this in an Ipsy Glambag years ago and have been using it ever since. I use it mostly as an eye shadow primer as well as a cover up for when I have dark circles under my eyes.

10. Do you know your undertone color?
Yes, I am Neutral. Pop Sugar told me so lol. If you don’t know yours, you can check it here.

11. What do you think of false eyelashes?
I love them. I have very thin short black eyelashes. You can see them, but when I triple coat it with Mascara or actually wear fake eyelashes they make my eyes pop. I am all for the fake eyes ladies.

12. Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes. I read that with all the bacteria surrounding your makeup, you should switch it out more often than not. I never follow this rule unfortunately.

13. What brand of mascara do you use?
I have switched my Mascara brand like I switch my panties. I am currently using two different ones. Wet & Wild Max Volume Plus Mascara. It gives my eyelashes the extra push and volume it needs. It leaves them very dramatic but with no clumps. I also use Lancôme Hypnose Doll Lashes. The tip goes from estra thick to thin and is perfect for the cat eye look.

14. Eye liner pencil or Eye liner liqud?
That's a tough one because each of these products do different jobs. I like using an eye liner pencil for my water line and for when I want to add a smudged liner to my top line. I like the liquid liner when I want my eyes to have the precise perfect line.

15. What tools do you use in make-up application?
What don't I use? Eyebrushes, powder brushes, every kind of brushes. Lips stick pencils. etc. etc. My favorite took is my ring finger though. They are the most amazing brush.

16. Do you use make-up base/primer?
Rarely. As stated before I use my concealer as a primer for my eyes. I have base and primer in my makeup collection, but I barely touch them.

17. What is your favourite eye shadow (color or shade)?
The Original Naked Palatte from Urban Decay has my favorite shade. It's Sin. I love that it's a neutral color with shimmer. I can use it as a base, or the main color. It's my absolute favorite! I use it almost everyday.

18. Do you use an eyelash curler?
Sometimes. I don't feel it's always necessary. If you have a great enough mascara it should do the job for you. I also try not using it because sometimes I feel as if it does pull some hair out. Do you know how long it takes eyelashes to grow?! FOREVER.

19. How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Not often at all. Maybe in the beginning when I was first starting with makeup. Now, I can usually use my eyeliner pencil without a mirror. Not that I do, but I'm saying I can if it's the last resort lol.

20. What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I like them. I try to stay clear of them because they are so messy, but they do give your eyes that exact color you see instead of having to cake on layers.

21. What is your favorite lipstick?
Oh this is the easiest question on here. Rebel by Mac. It was my first expensive lipstick purchase and If I could, I would wear it with every outfit!

22. How about lip gloss?
I have a few, but I never use them. I don't like how it leaves my lips wet. I'm more into the matte look and feel. I also don't like that it rubs off quickly and I have to continuously reapply it.

23. Do you ever buy any make-up on eBay/Amazon?
Yes I have actually. The liquid eyeliner I use, I couldn't find at target anymore, so I went online and bought 3 of them. I have a stock that should last me sometime.

24. Do you like drug store make-up?
I live off it. You don't need to buy expensive makeup products to find quality makeup. Hello. Elf. Wet & Wild. Some of the best products I find, are inexpensive and the quality is 10 times better than products with high price tags.

25. Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I've gone to makeup parties where they teach you stuff, but I've never gone to an actual class. That's what YouTube is for. It's free.

26. Hardest make-up trick?
Perfectly matching my cat eyes.

27. Name a make-up crime that you hate.
When people don't outline their lips properly. I understand you want to make your lips look fuller, but I can see where you real lip ends and your skin starts!

28. Crazy colored make-up?
On the weekends yes. I like using blues and reds, and trying out wild colors. I don't do it as often as I would like though. Maybe add that to my makeup goals list.

29. In your opinion. which celebrity always has great make-up?
Angelina Jolie. She always looks so classy and elegant, and most of the time is wearing beautiful nude colors. When she wears red lipstick though. GASP! Her makeup is always on point.

30. If you could leave the house using just ONE make-up item, what would you pick?
Lipstick. You can have nothing on your face and just a little bit of lip color and it will brighten up your face instantly.

31. Could you ever leave the house without any make-up on?
I do it every morning for work. Sometimes I apply a little bit of makeup but rarely. I'm stuck in an office all day. No point in wasting beautiful makeup.

32. Do you think you look good without any make-up on?
Yes. More often than not. I like how I look with makeup on, but I prefer natural beauty. On anyone, not just me.

33. In your opinion, what is the BEST make-up brand?
Now, this is the hardest question on here. It all depends on the products, because some brands are amazing in one department, and average in another. For example I love Mac Lipsticks, and Urban Decays Eye shadows. I love Elfs brushes, and Wet and Wild's eyeliners. It all depends on the product.

34. How many times do you wash your hair per week?
I'm a rare breed. Maybe once or twice a week. I have really strong healthy hair, and I believe that's because I don't apply many products or heat to my hair. After I was I let it air dry, I don't apply unnecessary chemicals. I tend to leave my hair alone and I believe that's why it's as healthy as it is, even with the blonde thing I have going on now.

35. What Shampoo and Conditioner do you use?
Tresseme Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner. This is the only shampoo that makes my hair easy to brush through when it is wet. I have very thick hair that gets tangles easily and with any other shampoo it's practically impossible to brush through.

36. When was the last time you got a haircut?
I cut my tips one month yes one month no when I go get my roots done. My hair grows faster than average, and the more I cut my tips and keep it healthy the more my hair grows.

37. Do you style your hair with heat everyday?
No. Once a week at most, if that. I usually just let my hair air dry. It's pretty straight regularly without applying heat.

38. Have you ever had a bad colouring done?
Once and it was the worst experience of my life. I had dyed my hair black and I was ready to lighten it up again. I went to the same guy I always go to and instead of actually trying to lighten up the color (I understand its a long excruciating process) he just bleached it with highlights. I had black and orange hair. I looked like I was ready for Halloween. I immedietly went home bawling my eyes out and dyed it back to black. A few months later I found this amazing hairstylist who was able to take out all the black color, lightened up my hair and left my hair very healthy. She is still my current hairstylist today.

39. Buns or Ponytails?
Buns. I like pony tails too, but I feel like Buns are classier. I use ponytails when I don't really feel like styling my hair.

40. What hair trend do you like best?
I'm really digging the short hair look. I wish I could rock short hair, but I have a round face with chubby cheeks. Short hair would make me look bigger and wider.

Kate Spade Wellesley Quinn Small; Red Bag Review ♥

I have recently been infatuated with everything Kate Spade. I give it all thanks to my beautiful Wellesley Planner. Once I got my planner, I wanted a purse to match. I have been very much over due with a new bag purchase so when I got my Christmas Bonus, I decided to splurge a bit and went straight on EBay. There are so many different varieties and colors of bags. I didn't want the same old boring black or neutral bags. When I saw it,  I was dead set on the Red Wellesley Quinn; small. So I BOUGHT IT.

It came in about 2 weeks ago and I have been using it ever since. I decided that I wouldn't be selfish and I'd share with you my thoughts on this beautiful bag.

First and foremost, the pictures do not do this bag justice. (I need a better blogging Camera). This bag is beautifully made. The first thing you notice is the bright gorgeous lacquer of Red! It is also very sturdy and strongly made. The feel of the leather is heavenly. The stitching is in white and gives the bag a classy look. The logo is the classic Kate Spade Logo and matches my planner to the T. It is precisely placed and the gold writing gives the bag an extra pop of pizzazz. The handles on the bag are also well built and strong and will outlast and outwit over use.

I have read many reviews, and they all say Kate Spade Bags last forever. The Kate Spade Wellesley Quinn bags come in a variety of colors, so if you're not interested in red you have the option of other color choices.

Bag Details!
11 1/2″ Wide x 9 1/2″ Height x 4 1/2″ Depth. Approx. 14″ handles with 7″ drop.
Open Top
3 Separate Pouches (Outside pouches are open & Middle Pouch is a divider with a Zipper)
2 Small Interior open Pockets
1 Interior Zipper Pocket
Made of Leather Specifically Boar skin
Removable and Adjustable Cross Body Strap
Hot Pink Interior (Kate Spade New York)

What I love about the bag?
Red is my favorite color.
The white stitching makes the bag look so elegant and classy.
I love that it is a box shape.
It is not a flimsy bag so the bag stays right side up on it's own.
Zippers through out the bag are smooth.
Perfect Size. It's not to big or to small.
Enough room without being bulky.
I can switch it from an arm bag to a cross body bag anytime.
The quality of the bag in amazing and the interior hot pink is a gorgeous color.
My Wellesley Planner matches the style and it fits perfectly in the bag. FAVORITE PART!

What I dislike about the bag?
The top of the bag is open. It's not a deal breaker for me, but if you are interested in purchasing this bag, please be aware. It is a bit annoying. As I was driving I had to hit the breaks and my bag lunged forward with everything that wasn't in any of the zipper pockets falling out.

Do I recommend it?
Absolutely. Other than the top being open, I love the bag. It's classy and elegant. It pairs well and adds an extra attractiveness to any outfit. The bag is gorgeous. At the time of the purchase, I ordered it on EBay for $160 with shipping and handling.

What's your favorite hand bag?

What's in my everyday Makeup Bag?

I have always been a makeup junkie, but recently I've become obsessed. I lug around a big mini bag full of makeup. Everywhere I go. I can honestly say that I use everything in this bag more than 4 days out of the week. I have been in the process of perfecting my makeup bag for a really long time. I have switched products and bags countless of times and I think I finally got it right. The size is a good fit in my purse and spacious enough for everything I love to carry on me. Plus it has all my favorite products that I use everyday. A lot of these products you can easily get at your local stores. If that is not the case, I will let you know beforehand and I'll link it up. Lets get on with what is in my bag. (:

Face:

  • Maybelline - Fit Me Foundation (Buff Beige)
- I got this on a whim. I never ever use foundation. I hate caking up my face. My boyfriends sister Alexandra told me that I should at least try to start putting on some sort of foundation to hide my mild rosacea. I was at target and honestly picked out the first brand I saw. I tried to match my color as close as possible and I hit it right on the money. As stated before I don't use it very often, but when I do, it leaves my skin nice and soft.
  • Sheercover - Duo Concealer (Light/Medium)
- I got this in an Ipsy Glambag years ago and have been using it ever since. I use it mostly as an eye shadow primer as well as a cover up for when I have dark circles under my eyes.
  • Chella - Highlighter Pencil (Ivory Lace)
- Also another product from an old Ipsy Glambag. I found it in my massive makeup collection of products I've never used or opened. I am obsessed with it and do not go a day without using it. It works as an amazing eye brightner, eyeshadow primer or a eyebrow highlighter (obviously).
  • Mary Kay - Mineral Bronzing Powder (Sandstone)
- You can find these on the Mary Kay Website. I got this as a free sample when I went to one of their beauty classes. I honestly approve anything and everything from Mary Kay.
  • Mac - Blush (Dollymix)
- Also another Ipsy Glambag product (: I have red rosie cheeks normally, but this pretty pink hue goes great when I use the foundation.
  • NYX Cosmetics - Cream Blush (Rouge)
- This is a truly creamy blush. When I use it I apply a small amount. I sometimes also use it as a soft pink lip primer before applying any pink lipstick.

Brushes:

Most of my Eyeshadow Brushes are from Elf Cosmetics. They are a very inexpensive brand with amazing products. I would never spend an extraordinary amount of money on makeup brushes when I can but amazing quality brushes at a cheaper price. Yes, a cheaper price, but no where near cheap Quality.
  • Elf Stipple Brush
  • Elf Powder Brush
  • Elf Eyeshadow-C Brush (2)
  • Elf Definition Brush
  • Elf (Professional) Eyeshadow Brush
  • Elf Eyebrow / Eyeliner Brush
  • Urban Decay Shadow B Brush - (This brush came in my Urban Decay Palatte)

Eye Shadow:

When it comes to my every day eye shadow wear, I stick to my neutral and bronze colors. Browns, Beige and gold. You can never go wrong with these. I can wear them during the day and switch it up for a more dramatic look for night.
  • Mary Kay Cream Eye Color (Beach Blonde / Blond Page)
- I purchased this product at one of the Mary Kay parties I went to. It works as a perfect eye shadow primer or as a regular eye shadow. It's more on the gold side and does shimmer, but nothing that may seem over the top.
  • Victoria Secret Beauty Rush Wet Dry Shadow (Bronzinger)
- You know when you're waiting in purchasing line at Victoria Secret and they have all these little goodies to buy along the isle? Well I picked up this perfect color. I am obsessed with this eye shadow. I can apply it as a light hue of gold or pack it on for a very dramatic smokey gold look.
  • Rimmel London Glam Eyes Quad (Smokey Brun)
- I got this product in a little makeup gift bag that I got. I've seen them at Target as well as CVS. They are inexpensive but comes with three different shades. You have a soft bright Beige, a medium to light coffee brown, and then a very dark smokey dramatic brown. Perfect for day or night wear.

Eyes:

  • Wet & Wild H2O Proof Liquid Liner (Black / Brown)
- I purchased this at CVS. If you are looking for an eyeliner that is 100% water proof and does not come off for anything, this is the eye liner for you. I promise you it doesn't come off or smudge once it dries. Even with makeup remover. It takes me a while to take it off. Use at your own risk LOL. They have it an a variety of different dark shades.
  • LA Colors Liquid Liner (Black) (3 bottles)
- You must be wondering why I have three? I have a little thief who I like to call my younger sister who steals my eyeliners when I am not looking. So I purchased three and they've been in my bag ever since. I love this brand of eyeliner. It is not water proof but it does not come off easy. It goes on smooth. The brush is normal to thin and easy to handle. I definitely recommend this products.
  • Mariposa Eyeliner Pencil (Black)
- I purchased this eye liner at CVS. I love that the top is an eye pencil sharpener. This eyeliner does not smudge but can be if needed to. It stays on for a decent amount of time and rarely needs to be
  • Wet & Wild Max Volume Plus Mascara (C15OA)
- I have been using Wet & Wild Products for many years now. It's just like Elf Cosmetics. They are an inexpensive brand with over the top amazing quality products. I really like this mascara. I have very small eye lashes but this mascara does give them the extra push and volume they need. It also does not clump up the lashes.
  • Lancôme Hypnose Doll Lashes (SD Black)
- This is my favorite Mascara. The brush goes from wide to thin from tip to tip. Perfect for extra dramatic lashes.
  • Eye Brow Tweezers
  • Elf Eyelash Curler

Lips:

  • Mac (Rebel)
 - The shade is purple. It is my absolute favorite lipstick and I don't go anywhere with out it. After an hour of wearing it, it does dry up and becomes more of a stain. I love it because It does not rub off easily.
  • NYX Cosmetics (Chaos)
- A very bright red lipstick that stays wet. I have never had to reapply this lipstick. The color does not fade with time passing by.
  • Ulta (208)
 - Think of the hottest coral pink you can think of. This is definitely it. Only thing I don't like about this lipstick is that it doesn't have a name. It does go on smooth and lasts long.
  • Clinique (A Different Grape)
- The shade of this lipstick is more on the brown/ dark purple side. It is perfect for a fall look.
  • Bombshell Cosmetics *Lip Gloss* (Hot Mess)
- This product is another one from my Ipsy collection. This is the perfect dark glossy lip glass. It leaves your lips with a perfect hue of redness and pink without being overly dramatic.
  • Rimmel London *Lip Pencil* (1000 Kisses)
- I use this for the lip liner to my Rebel Lipstick. It is a Purple shade. It lets me draw the perfect outline so I don't mess up when I'm applying the lipstick.
  • Rimmel London *Lip Pencil* (Exagerate)
- Same goes for this lip liner except this is for the Chaos lipstick. It is a red shade.
  • Starlooks Cosmetics *Lip Pencil* (Tipsy)
- Same for this one except this is for the Ulta Lipstick that is the Coral Shade.

As stated before, I think I have perfected my Makeup bag to exactly what I use on a regular basis.
What's in your makeup bag?

Ipsy Glam Bag Review: November 2015.

I was pretty excited for this months Ipsy Glam Bag. I mean look at the little bag it came with!! So many hues of purple and pink and trippy space. Absolutely love the theme. I was happy with the products that came in this month. Except for the spray and the nail polish. I never ever use hair spray or any of those types of products on my hair. I most likely will give that to my mom or someone who I know uses it consistently. As for the nail polish, I have way to many, I don't need anymore. Trust me. Anyways, lets get on with the review (:

November 2015 Glambag Review: Beauty Blast

Chine Glaze Nail Laquer
Soft Sienna Silk
As stated before, I wasn't please nor disappointed when I got the nail polish. It is a nice color and it goes great for this time of season. China Glaze is an awesome nail polish brand. Their products are pretty long lasting and the colors they have are great. I didn't know how I felt about the shimmer. It also takes a couple coats to get the exact color from the nail polish. I do recommend putting a bottom coat of white to make the color truly stand out.
After reading some reviews? They were mostly mixed. A lot of the reviewers had the same concern as me. It was a little to shimmery. Most said that the color from the bottle did not match once it was placed on the nail. As why I recommended the white bottom coat.
Would I buy or recommend this product? I would recommend the brand of nail polish, but not this specific color.

Beaute Basics
Gel Eyeliner with Gel Eyeliner Brush
Guys! It's Navy Blue. I absolutely love this product. I wouldn't necessarily wear it all the time, but I would definitely rock this. I have Navy Mascara and a Navy Eyeliner pencil. I have boring brown eyes this color always makes my eyes pop. It's very easy to apply and the recipe. Very smooth.
After reading some reviews? Not many liked the shade. Most reviewers would have preferred a normal color (ie brown or black). Everyone loved the product but not the color.
Would I buy or recommend this product? 100% yes! I love the shade and the ease of the brush. It stays on and holds very well.

Smashbox Cosmetics
Full Exposure Mascara
Smashbox Cosmetics has always been a top brand in my makeup collection. Every product I try, I end up loving it. I was very pleased with this mascara. I have absolutely no eye lashes. They are very tiny and barely visible. This mascara changed that. No clumps and very smooth. It reminded me of the blinc mascara and that is my favorite mascara.
After reading some reviews? Positive reviews all around. I did not find one negative comment. It received a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Everyone loved this product.
Would I buy or recommend this product? Yes. I plan on going and getting me a bigger size. This small sample size will run out quick.

Coolway
Stronghold Spray
As stated earlier in this post, I am not a fan of hairspray. I never ever wear it. When I get my hair professionally done, I make sure they don't put any in my hair. If it's a hundred percent necessary that I hat to apply hair spray, than I will only use a little.
After reading some reviews? Many mixed reviews. Most reviewers like the smell of the spray but not the product in itself. Some state that it's way too strong for their hair type. Others say it's not strong enough. It all depends on your hair.
Would I buy or recommend this product? For someone who uses hairspray on a daily basis, yes. I would never buy it for myself. My mother loved it.

tre'StiQue
Mini Matte Lip Crayon - Chili Red
If you red my previous beauty post regarding my favorite red lipsticks, than you would know that this is my favorite product from the bag this month. I am a huge lipsticks and lip color type of girl. I loved that some of the ingredients in this product was Vitamin E and Monoi Tahittti Butter. To be honest I don't know what the last one is but it sounds healthy for your lips LOL. It goes on smoothly and you can layer it on for a night time look or apply lightly for daytime. It also does not dry out or crack my lips which is a big deal breaker for me.
After reading some reviews? This product got 4 out of 5 stars. Mostly all positive comments. Their were a few that recommended applying lip gloss over it for a more shimmery look. I personal love the matte color.
Would I buy or recommend this product? Absolutely. I loved everything about this product. I loved that it was a matte red shade and that I can use it alone or even as a base coat. Definitely picking up one of these!!

Overall, I was pretty impressed with my glam bag this month. If you want to see last months review click HERE.

Beauty // Red Lipstick Review

Happy Monday I recently just started becoming obsessed with lipsticks. I have always been fond of them, but just last month it became more of an addiction. I plan on making my collection huge! I purchased my first Mac lipstick (Rebel) and I was hooked.

In the last month I went to 3 parties, on a 5 day cruise, and it was Halloween. Atleast 4 out of these 5 events I wanted to wear red lipstick. I hadn't purchased any in a while so I went scrimmaging through my makeup and I found 3 red lipsticks. I thought I should do a little review for some practice before I start hoarding on lipsticks and begin full on beauty reviews!

Yes, I am the weirdo who has been collecting makeup since she was 15 years old and only has 3 shades of red lipstick. I am such a fake lipstick lover ): I could've sworn I had more varieties of red shades, but I actually have more lighter neutral tones. When I was younger I wasn't very fond of dark lipsticks. Today though, the darker the better sexier!

1. NYX Cosmetics - Snow White

I actually wore this Red Shade this past weekend. Please excuse the horrible duck face but it's the only picture I took with the color. I may or may not have been on a nice little buzz LOL. Out of all three shades that I have, this one is definitely my favorite.

Pro: It's not extremely shiny, but it's not exactly matte. It's a perfect balance of both. Also, after wearing it for over 6 hours I only had to retouch my lips once.
Con: The Lipstick stays a tiny bit wet. It does not fully dry out. This annoyed me a bit because if I would touch my lip by accident, it would stain my finger. Which I understand, that happens with a lot of lipsticks but I would prefer it not to.

2. Elizabeth Arden - Cranberry Cream

To be honest, I think this one probably tops NYX with the shade of color and it being completely matte. It was a very close call but it came in second. For some very particular reasons.

Pro: Completely matte!
Con: I had to touch up my lips more than twice. By the end of the night it dried up my lips and you could see the cracks if my skin. To be fair though I had in on for over 8 hours. A huge con is that it's discontinued. I looked all over the internet for it and I don't know if I really trust buying it off Amazon. Good luck finding it.

3. The Color Worshop - (does not have a name on it)

The Color Workshop is a makeup brand that you can get at your local drugstore or Wal-Mart and Target. It's not that it is not a good lipstick brand or a good color because It is, but to me it's more on the cheaper side. Sometimes cheaper brands are always better than more expensive brands, but not in this case.

Pro: Complete Matte with a slight shimmer.
Con: The color was gone after 45 minutes and I had to continuously touch up my lips throught out the night. It is also a much lighter shade than the previous to reds. It's more on the pinkier side.

What are some of your favorite lipstick brands and what red shade of lipstick would you recommend. I would love to hear your opinion.

Stay tuned for a what is in my Makeup Bag post!!

Ipsy Glam Bag Review: October 2015.

I joined Ipsy back in 2011 when it started. I had received all the bags from December 2011 through July 2013. Towards the beginning I was very fond of all the products that they were placing in the bag. By July of 2013, I wasn't into the glam bag anymore. A lot of the products that they were placing in the bags, were products that I would never used. I opted out and unsubscribed. Over the years, I've kept an eye on Ipsy and I like how much they have grown. They now have the quiz and you can update your style. Also my beauty preferences have matured. I thought I'd give Ipsy another shot and I re-subscribed for this month.

October 2015 Glambag Review: Alter Ego

Peter Lamas
Exfoliating Pumpkin Facial Scrub
I don't know how I feel about this product. To start off with, I am not a facial scrub type of girl and I dislike everything pumpkin. It did smell nice though and left my face feeling soft.
After reading some reviews? They were very mixed. Some loved the product, and others were on the fence like me.
Would I buy or recommend this product? Definitely not. It's just not my style.

tarte
Deluxe LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Gloss in Energy
I really loved this product. I have very dry lips. I'm constantly putting on chapstick. This lasted me over 5 hours. Even after the lip gloss was gone, my lips felt moisturized and were very soft.
After reading reviews? A lot more positive reviews than nevegative. Most of the negative reviews were that they weren't fans of lip gloss, or it was to sticky.
Would I buy or recommend this product? Yes. Yess. Yesss.

Aromachology
Exotic & Spicy Eau de Parfum
I liked that it was a roll on perfume. The smell is ok. It's not the worst, but I like sweeter softer smells. The name does go with the smell. It is a strong fragrance. Perfect for night wear.
After reading reviews? Many would not buy this scent. They complained that it was more for older woman of age. I agree, but that does not mean I would never wear this.
Would I buy or recommend this product? Maybe. If it wasn't to expensive and sold just like the sample. I wouldn't wear this very often, but I would wear it.

pur~lisse
BB Tinted Moist Crème SPF30
I am a big fan of Sunscreen and moisturizers. I am no big fan of concealer, foundation, cover up, or putting a ton of cake on my face. I was very pleased with this product. The color doesn't match my skin entirely but it is a nice alternative for moisturizer, sunscreen and cover up all together.
After reading reviews? This was a big hit with a lot of other Ipsy ladies. Most of the girls said the same thing. Great coverage and left their skin nice and soft.
Would I buy or recommend this product? I wouldn't buy it just because I don't use products like these but I would recommend it to other girls.

Mary-Lou Manizer
Great shadow for highlighting and giving your eyes a little extra shimmer. Very subtle and gave my skin a soft glow. Loved this product.
After reading reviews? A lot of positive reviews. Got 4.5 stars out of 5. All the positive reviews said the same thing. Very light, but gives you that nice pop of a honey gold color. Very few negatives stated that they liked the color but it was to light and wished that they did not have to build on it.
Would I buy or recommend this product? Yes and yes. I loved the color and the shimmer. I also liked that it was a very soft hue and that it was not dramatic.

Overall I liked this months glambag. I wished there were more darker colors to represent the fall. Maybe I'll just update my quiz again. Did you receive the same products as me? What did you think of them? Did you receive anything different in your glam bag?

My 5 top makeup products that I cannot live without.

I love putting on a face as much as the next girl, but I would be lying if I said I changed up my makeup routine all the time. Yes, I am guilty of being that basic chick that wears the same eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara for my every day routines. The only thing that changes every once in a while is the length or height of my eyeliner and the shades of lip stick. With the occasional more smokey look in the eyeshadow department every now and then. With that being said, I can rock the sexy going out at night look as well as the all natural im just going to walmart look. Don't get it twisted.

My top 5 can't live without make up products are . . .

1. Duo Concealer by Sheer Cover in Light/Medium

I recieved this concealer over 3 years ago as a sample in one of my Birch boxes. Ever since this puppy came into my life, it has been a god send. I never ever wear powder or cake my face up with product after product. It clogs up your pores and basically I don't need it. I do have the occasional unicorn horn show up and the scary dark bags under my eyes. Sheer Cover Duo Concealer is exactly for that.

You can purchase it for $24.50 on Amazon, or you can buy it in a kit from the Sheer Cover website for around $30. It is a little on the pricier side, but I kid you not when I say it is totally WORTH IT!

2. Urban Decay Naked Palettes

My absolute favorite is the Urban Decay Naked3.  I've been using Urban Decay since I started getting the hang of Makeup. Age 20 to be exact (I was a late bloomer). I started off with the first Urban Decay Naked Palette and instantly used up Sin (My favorite Urban Decay Shadow color). I've since worked my way up all other 3 Urban Decay palettes including the smokey one. If you want a super pigmented forever lasting (even if you accidentally ((or purposely)) fall asleep with makeup on) eyeshadow Urban Decay Naked Palettes are the way to go.

You can purchase any of these palettes for under $55.

3. Liquid liner by L.A Colors

I have never been that girl to spend loads of cash on makeup products. Especially when you can find an inexpensive brand at your local drugstore that works 2364457374 times better than the more high end super pricey brands. I bought this one at Target. I was actually out looking for the right eye liner and bought about 3 or 4 different brands and this one out won all of them. It is my favorite. Technically not considered waterproof but if you try your hardest not to ruin or smudge it, it will outlast the beach or the pool. Yes I have accidentally fallen asleep with it on and it stays so intact even after a roughs night sleep, that I barely ever have to touch it up and I usually just continue wearing it the following day.

You can purchase this for under $3.

4. Mascara by Blinc

I also received this product in one of my Birch Boxes when I was a member so long ago. It is by far the product I definitely can never live without. I have tried countless different brands of Mascara and I always come running back to this one. As you can already assume, I have that terrible habit of falling asleep with my makeup on. Eyelashes take forever and a year to grow back so falling asleep with the wrong mascara can be detrimental to your beauty health. Have you ever woken up with the horrible sight of clumped up eyelashes and even with water its impossible to come off, but when it does you take a chunk of lash with it? Well this mascara is almost like a glue that does the complete opposite of ripping your lashes out. Not only does it not clump up your eyelashes but if you ever want to remove it quickly and without pulling any hairs out, just dab on a little water or even steam and it comes off like dried up glue with no eyelashes ripped in its wake. I 100 percent recommend this product!

You can purchase this product anywhere from $15 to $30 depending where you buy it and the size of the mascara.

5. Natural by Nyx Cosmetics

This one is a tricky one because there are so many shades and brands that I  absolutely love. A new favorite is ... by mac. It is a dark shade of purple that brings out all the sex appeal in any woman. But I am more for the neutral darker shades of rose. I actually came across this shade because a friend was wearing it. We were going to our usual Friday Night Hangout and I forgot to bring any lip wear at all. She offered, I put it on and I was lost in Favorite Lipstick heaven forever.  I wear this lipstick for everything. Just leaving the house to go to the bank or a date out on the town with Chaz. You name the place. I'll wear it. This shade of lipstick does not leave my side. EVER.

What are your top 5 favorite makeup products? Have you ever used any of these? Do you have any other reccomendations?
