A Letter to Chaz.

 

Tomorrow is our One Year Anniversary. If someone would of told me a year ago that I was about to meet the love of my life, I would have laughed hysterically in their face. No one, at the early age of 23 meets the person they want to spend the rest of their life with. It’s crazy, a fantasy, and simply ridiculous. Or so I thought.

 

Our love was instant. We met. We hung out every weekend after that. I became your girlfriend. Some Skydiving, Free Falling, and Fireworks later, we fell in love. It was instant. From the moment I met you on January 2, 2015 at Two AM in Round Up, I knew that you were someone I would want to spend hours talking and being silly with. We became friends instantly, and lovers naturally.

For the first time in a really long time, I finally found someone that I could be 100 percent myself with. For the first time in a long time, I found someone who I enjoyed spending time with and I never wanted that feeling to go away.

In the short year that we have been together, you have taught me so many things. I have grown. I have matured. I have learned to drop away my insecurities and be more confident. I have learned to let go of the small things. I’ve learned to wash away all my negativity, and be positive. You’ve taught me how precious life is and how to live in the moment. You’ve taught me how to be independent. You taught me how to be strong. You taught me that no matter how hard life gets, and how so many things can go wrong in an instant, to always keep moving forward. I’ve learned to love myself and that’s because you taught me that there is nothing more important in this world than loving who I am. With every day that passes by in our relationship I learn more and more about life, love, and everything in between.

I know I say this in every letter or card I have written to you, but you have made me the happiest I have ever been. Our relationship has never been perfect. We have our ups and downs just like every other normal couple. We have had to work to get to the point where we are now and we are continuously working at it, but I wouldn’t trade this last year for anything in the world. You make me so happy.

I am so in love with you. With the man you are, and the man that you strive to be each and every day. I am in love with your infectious smile. I am in love with your laugh. I am in love with your scent. I am in love with your kindness and your honesty. I love our random dance parties, our Pizza Time and Cherry Smash dates, our “lets walk around and walk off our fatness” moments. I love our romantic days where we stay in bed watching Netflix all day. I love your family. I love when you’re happy. I love everything about you and more. I love our first year, and I can’t wait to love our future.

Three days ago, Chaz and I made it to the 10 month mark in our relationship. I know it's not a lot, but it honestly is. We're two months away from being together for a whole year. With relationships in this generation that is a long time. In the short amount of 10 months that we have been together we have been through quite a few obstacles and we've stayed strong.

A blog post about nothing.

Last night I was over at Chaz's house and we got into a serious discussion. I don't know how the conversation started but it got me thinking.

 

He said the sentence "Nothing lasts forever".

 

I'm not going to lie and say it didn't offend me because it did at that exact moment. Here I am, in my head thinking about forever and here he is just simply living in the moment and not thinking about forever just yet.

 

Which is perfectly fine.

 

It's honestly how life should be. Living in the moment and seeing where life takes you, not worrying about the future. Men's brains are completely different than women's brains and that's his mindset and that is ok.  But as I said before, it got me thinking. Yes, in hindsight and in "real life" nothing does last forever. Relationships end, fairy tales don't exist, blah blah blah. What is so wrong with me believing in a happily "forever" after? He also said something along the lines of fairy tales aren't real life. Which he is completely right about that too.

 

Where do you think I'm going with this you ask?

 

Well . . Yes, I believe in forever. Yes, I believe in soul mates and a little thing called destiny. Yes, I believe in true love, and I believe in love at first sight. I believe in all that mushy gushy crap.

 

I believe in fairy tales

 

and in the end I don't think theres anything wrong with me having that mindset...

First Weekend of October.

Where I live down here in Sunny South Florida, extremely close to our neighbor the burning hot equator, it is always HOT. We don't have all four seasons like most of the U.S of A. We have Summer, Summer, Summer, and oh yeah Summer. So come to my surprise when I woke up this weekend and it wasn't extremely melting hot!! It was nice and cool and the best weather I have seen in months. No rain, not one cloud in the sky, and not sweaty sticky hot. We definitely took advantage of the cool weather this weekend.

 

Saturday night we went to the Florida Panthers Hockey game. It was a pre-season game so the tickets were cheap and the seats were really good. We managed to sneak our way all the way to the glass seats. It was awesome!! You can actually see the players facial features and the sweat dripping.

 

 

On Sunday, the weather was even better and we decided to go have Breakfast and Mimosas on the beach. Caffe Luna Rosa is Chaz's favorite breakfast spot. The Mimosas were delicious!

We wanted to continue on with the fun and the day drinking so we decided to go to The Hardrock Hotel and Casino. We played as little bit of Blackjack and then continued with our it's 5 O'clock somewhere date at Wet Willies. If you have a Wet Willies around you, I recommend getting The Superman Kryptonite. The name should explain more than enough. That was also delicious.

Those last 2 pictures were mid brain freezes. Lets just say I will not be doing anymore day drinking anytime soon. I was very very happy by 3pm lol. We were home by 4 and I knocked out until 9pm. When we woke up, we ordered my favorite food (PIZZA) and watched Netflix. It was honestly a fun filled chill weekend.
