Disney 2016 Highlights ♥

This past weekend Chaz and I went to Disney world with a group of friends. We celebrated three birthdays and yes we are all way over the age of the average Disney goer but who cares. It was a blast!! We didn't stay the whole day though. We were so tired after a while. It definitely made me realize how much older we are than we thought. We rode the ferry instead of the monorail. I've never been on it. I always ride the monorail. It takes a little bit longer to get to the park but the lines were a lot shorter than the line for the monorail.

Chaz, Me, Kristen, and Ally (One of the Birthday Girls)

We arrived at the park around the same time it opened. It was pretty filled with people, but nothing that wasn't manageable. We immediately went to go take pictures in front of the castle. My friends Kayla and David (The birthday Boy) are annual pass holders, so they get to take as many pictures as they want and get them for free. You know we took advantage!

Want to know the best part of the trip?! If you read my last Wednesday Confessionals, I mentioned that Chaz was not going with me to the park. He's a Grinch when it comes to Disney parks. He hates them. Which is understandable for the most parts. The long lines, the amount of money you have to spend etc etc. Buuuuut... we were able to convince him to go and.... HE DID! You have no idea how happy that made me ♥

First thing we did after taking pictures was go on Space Mountain. If you've never ridden it, you have to. It's a pitch black roller coaster, that has a lot of different carts going at the same time. It's really thrilling. It goes fast and there are a few little dips and drops. I rode with Georgia. Chaz stayed behind with Matt and baby Dawson.

After space mountain we went to a little café and we all got some food. The good thing about Disney is you can bring your own food. We all made sandwiches and brought snacks so we didn't spend much money on stuff to eat.

We rode one of my favorite rides in the whole park. The littler Mermaid. Yes, Chaz rode it too. The line was pretty long but it was so much fun. You can obviously see the excitement in Chaz's face lol!

After the little mermaid it was almost time for the parade. Half the group went to find a spot, the other half went on another ride while we were waiting. Chaz fell asleep before the parade and stayed asleep during lol.

I tried to take better pictures of the parade but the sun was right in my eyes and the lighting was terrible. Sorry!! They had all the princesses, and Malifacent was a fire breathing dragon. It was awesome. Oh and obviously Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Donald and Daisy were there.

After the parade, we were all really pooped. We hadn't done much but we had been there since 9am. It was already almost 4 and the sun was scorching hot!! We did some final shopping. I got my yummy deserts and we kissed Disney goodbye!

Until next time Disney ♥

The Disney Tag

I recently came across this awesome tag in the blogger world. If you've read my recent post "5 Tips for Surviving Disney World" you would know that I am going to Disney World this weekend, and that I am a huge Disney lover. I am so excited and this post is just making me that much more excited.

I'm tagging Jasmine from Classy, Sassy & A Bit Smart Assy, Emily over at A Little Bit of Emily, and Kate from Green Fashionista. Come on and join in on the tagging fun. Don't forget to tag your blogging besties ♥

4. Favorite Disney Sidekick? Sven from Frozen!

5. Favorite Disney Song? I won't say I'm in love from Hercules, but also Part of Your World from The little Mermaid.

5 tips for Surviving Walt Disney World.

T-Minus 10 Days before Chaz and a group of friends of ours go on a mini trip to O-town. It's a group of about 12 of us and a baby. We're all going for 3 of our friends birthday. Yes, we are all waaayyyy above the average age of a Disney goer, but so what lol. I am so excited. I haven't been to Disney in almost 2 years. Last time I went it was so much fun. I thought I'd share with you a couple tips on how to survive Disney ♥ (all photos in this post were taken with my Sony NEX-5R camera)

1. Disney World is not Disney world unless you have Minnie Ears. The amount of Minnie Ears that are out in the world right now are crazy. I bought these pink ones years ago in Disney itself. Now you can order them online for hundreds of Etsy Shops. They have every character you can think of, from Disney Princesses, to the Villains, to Jessy from Toy Story or Peter Pan.

2. Don't forget to take a picture with the Castle. Weather it's a mile away or right up close, the signature Castle photo is a must. It's pretty much impossible to take a picture without thousands of other Disney lovers in the way, doing the exact same thing, or staring at you while you're modeling it up. The closer you get to the castle though, the better your pictures will come out, and less people will be in the way.

3. Try to get a great view of the parade(s). Wherever you're at in the park you'll at least get to see one parade. If you're short like me try to get in the front or you'll have overly excited 6 foot tall people, and you'll be like one of those little kids who wont see anything!!

4. Splurge a little and get a Delicious Disney Desert. If you go to Disney and get one Three D's you are a disgrace. If you do not try at least one scrumdidlyumptious desert from there many sweet shops all over the park, Disney should disown you. I only go to Disney so I can get my usual Mickey Cake Pop, or a Mickey Ice cream Sandwhich. Don't be that grumpy guy that doesn't indulge in yumminess.

5. Take Pictures of anything and everything. Especially the Little Mermaid Castle! Oh and the Fireworks show at the Castle at night. Ohh and funny faces with random statues. Just take pictures of it all. You'll regret it if you don't.

Any other little tips on surviving Disney?

Happy Travels ♥

Noels 25th Birthday Weekend!

This last weekend was one for the books. One of Chaz's closest friends Noel, turned 25 this past Tuesday, and this weekend we decided to Celebrate her big day and drive down a bit more south and enjoy some sunny Florida Keys weather. It had been raining all week, but the weather was beyond gorgeous while we were down there. We went on a Glass Bottom Boat Tour in Key Largo, and they took us to Molasses Reef. We saw a shark and thousands of beautiful fishes. If you would like to check out their cruises you can click here. They have great group packages and deals. They also have a bar on the boat where you can enjoy a nice sail out on the water with yummy drinks and snacks. It was a blast.

After the Glass Bottom Boat Cruise, we ate lunch and went to our hotel. We stayed at the Sunset Cove. It's under construction at the moment because they are renovating, but it is such an awesome little spot. We slept 10 comfortably and a 3 month old baby in a little suite. They are very spacious, comes with 4 beds, a pull out bed and enough room for an inflatable mattress. We even had enough room for baby Dawsons crib. The suite comes with a fridge, a microwave, and huge back patio. It's walking distance from the beach and is surrounded by bars and restaurants.

My favorite part of the little hotel were the outside hammocks and grills. We ended up having BBQ chicken and just hanging out on the Hammocks or at the beach. It was a real good time. If you're interested in the nice little spot, you can check more about it here.

The next morning, we got up and had breakfast than went to Shell World. It's a big Gift Shop right in the center of Key Largo. I bought a cute Decal for my card that says Mermaid life. I'll show you once I put it on. We also had a little fun in the store.

We got back to Ally's house and hung out, and played some more beer pong. Ally's dad invited us all over for dinner. It was absolutely delicious. We had pasta, and meatballs, and salad, and garlic bread oh my. I was in Italian food Heaven. We all came out of there with food babies.

At night time, it was Fight night. Chaz and are are big UFC fans so we try to watch as many fights as possible. This fight was free. It was awesome. We had our usual fight night date night. Dominic Cruz, who was the fighter we were rooting for, won!

It was a great ending to an amazing weekend.
