How I met my Boyfriend.

Chaz

I have been was single for 1 year, 10 months, and 3 days. Yes I calculated. Between this time I went through countless amounts of crushes, a few potentials and one or two teeny tiny heart breaks. I finally, for lack of a better description, gave up, and decided I was going to focus on me. I wasn't going into 2015 with much expectation on love or romance at all.

There's a superstition that the color you wear going into the New Year effects your life. I always wear sexy black dresses, and black apparently is the worst color to wear. (If I would've known that I would've never worn black all those years). I made sure to not wear anything black this New Years and bought a cute pinkinsh goldish red dress. (There's a point to this I promise). Red is the color for love & passion. Boy, did that superstition work all right and fast!

I met my now boyfriend Chaz through Instagram. I was never one to give my numbers to strangers
nor ever be the one to initiate interaction, but there was just something adorably cute and funny about him that I took a chance. I direct messaged him my number.

He immediately text me and we talked on the phone, facetimed, or text eachother on and off for a few months. He didn't take me seriously , & I didn't take him seriously either because honestly, who gets in a relationship with people off of social media . . . On January 2 he randomly facetimed me while I was hanging out with my sisters (we hadn't really spoken in a while). My sisters mentioned to him that I was going to a country bar and that he should go so we could finally meet. He said he worked that night so I brushed it off and didn't think much more about it. It was my bestfriends 21st birthday and we were going to our favorite place to hang out! It was about 1 in the morning and I get a text message from Chaz saying that he was at round up. (Should've seen it coming lol) I freaked out. I was talking to my friend Natalia at that moment and I dragged her along with me to meet him. I was not going to meet a random guy by myself regardless if it was in a public place or not. What if he was creepy?! Turns out he wasn't. He looked exactly like he did in his instagram pictures but so much cuter in person. We hit it off immediately. My usual routine at this bar would be leaving at 2am and sleeping over the birthday girls house by 3am. This Friday, I didn't end up sleeping over her house and I got home at 6am. We stayed outside the bar in my car talking for hours. It was so much fun and it was just easy with him.

To make this long story short, We talked everyday after that and hung out a lot. One month and 2 days later he became my boyfriend. He lives an hour away from me so we try to see eachother as much as possible. My family loves him and my friends think we're a perfect match. I haven't been this happy in a long time. I don't want to jinx it because things are going wonderful right now, but I do see myself being with him for a long time. I'm excited for this new adventure in my life. This just feels right.
