I am Thankful For. . .

Thanksgiving. A day to give thanks, a day to spend with family and friends, and a day to be grateful for everything. A day to feel blessed for everything you have, and everything you don't. I am blessed to be surrounded by people who love me. I am grateful for this life that I have the opportunity to live. I am thankful, and grateful, and blessed. Even though I am a few days late, I still wanted to show you all what I am most thankful for ♥

Happy Thanksgiving 2015!!

I am thankful for my family.

Thank you for being my Tias, Tios, cousins, and every one in between.

I don't know what I would do without her. She cooks, and cleans and takes care of every one in the house. She is a queen. She shows me unconditional love with the usual old lady complaints that I can't live without. She also is an amazing reminder how strong a woman should be. She also reminds me of the love I have for my grandfather.

I am thankful for my parents.

Without them I would have never been born (; LOL. In all seriousness, they are always there for me. Through all the wonderful times, through all the heartbreaks, through everything. My parents are always there. They are my role models ♥

What's in my everyday Makeup Bag?

I have always been a makeup junkie, but recently I've become obsessed. I lug around a big mini bag full of makeup. Everywhere I go. I can honestly say that I use everything in this bag more than 4 days out of the week. I have been in the process of perfecting my makeup bag for a really long time. I have switched products and bags countless of times and I think I finally got it right. The size is a good fit in my purse and spacious enough for everything I love to carry on me. Plus it has all my favorite products that I use everyday. A lot of these products you can easily get at your local stores. If that is not the case, I will let you know beforehand and I'll link it up. Lets get on with what is in my bag. (:

Face:

  • Maybelline - Fit Me Foundation (Buff Beige)
- I got this on a whim. I never ever use foundation. I hate caking up my face. My boyfriends sister Alexandra told me that I should at least try to start putting on some sort of foundation to hide my mild rosacea. I was at target and honestly picked out the first brand I saw. I tried to match my color as close as possible and I hit it right on the money. As stated before I don't use it very often, but when I do, it leaves my skin nice and soft.
  • Sheercover - Duo Concealer (Light/Medium)
- I got this in an Ipsy Glambag years ago and have been using it ever since. I use it mostly as an eye shadow primer as well as a cover up for when I have dark circles under my eyes.
  • Chella - Highlighter Pencil (Ivory Lace)
- Also another product from an old Ipsy Glambag. I found it in my massive makeup collection of products I've never used or opened. I am obsessed with it and do not go a day without using it. It works as an amazing eye brightner, eyeshadow primer or a eyebrow highlighter (obviously).
  • Mary Kay - Mineral Bronzing Powder (Sandstone)
- You can find these on the Mary Kay Website. I got this as a free sample when I went to one of their beauty classes. I honestly approve anything and everything from Mary Kay.
  • Mac - Blush (Dollymix)
- Also another Ipsy Glambag product (: I have red rosie cheeks normally, but this pretty pink hue goes great when I use the foundation.
  • NYX Cosmetics - Cream Blush (Rouge)
- This is a truly creamy blush. When I use it I apply a small amount. I sometimes also use it as a soft pink lip primer before applying any pink lipstick.

Brushes:

Most of my Eyeshadow Brushes are from Elf Cosmetics. They are a very inexpensive brand with amazing products. I would never spend an extraordinary amount of money on makeup brushes when I can but amazing quality brushes at a cheaper price. Yes, a cheaper price, but no where near cheap Quality.
  • Elf Stipple Brush
  • Elf Powder Brush
  • Elf Eyeshadow-C Brush (2)
  • Elf Definition Brush
  • Elf (Professional) Eyeshadow Brush
  • Elf Eyebrow / Eyeliner Brush
  • Urban Decay Shadow B Brush - (This brush came in my Urban Decay Palatte)

Eye Shadow:

When it comes to my every day eye shadow wear, I stick to my neutral and bronze colors. Browns, Beige and gold. You can never go wrong with these. I can wear them during the day and switch it up for a more dramatic look for night.
  • Mary Kay Cream Eye Color (Beach Blonde / Blond Page)
- I purchased this product at one of the Mary Kay parties I went to. It works as a perfect eye shadow primer or as a regular eye shadow. It's more on the gold side and does shimmer, but nothing that may seem over the top.
  • Victoria Secret Beauty Rush Wet Dry Shadow (Bronzinger)
- You know when you're waiting in purchasing line at Victoria Secret and they have all these little goodies to buy along the isle? Well I picked up this perfect color. I am obsessed with this eye shadow. I can apply it as a light hue of gold or pack it on for a very dramatic smokey gold look.
  • Rimmel London Glam Eyes Quad (Smokey Brun)
- I got this product in a little makeup gift bag that I got. I've seen them at Target as well as CVS. They are inexpensive but comes with three different shades. You have a soft bright Beige, a medium to light coffee brown, and then a very dark smokey dramatic brown. Perfect for day or night wear.

Eyes:

  • Wet & Wild H2O Proof Liquid Liner (Black / Brown)
- I purchased this at CVS. If you are looking for an eyeliner that is 100% water proof and does not come off for anything, this is the eye liner for you. I promise you it doesn't come off or smudge once it dries. Even with makeup remover. It takes me a while to take it off. Use at your own risk LOL. They have it an a variety of different dark shades.
  • LA Colors Liquid Liner (Black) (3 bottles)
- You must be wondering why I have three? I have a little thief who I like to call my younger sister who steals my eyeliners when I am not looking. So I purchased three and they've been in my bag ever since. I love this brand of eyeliner. It is not water proof but it does not come off easy. It goes on smooth. The brush is normal to thin and easy to handle. I definitely recommend this products.
  • Mariposa Eyeliner Pencil (Black)
- I purchased this eye liner at CVS. I love that the top is an eye pencil sharpener. This eyeliner does not smudge but can be if needed to. It stays on for a decent amount of time and rarely needs to be
  • Wet & Wild Max Volume Plus Mascara (C15OA)
- I have been using Wet & Wild Products for many years now. It's just like Elf Cosmetics. They are an inexpensive brand with over the top amazing quality products. I really like this mascara. I have very small eye lashes but this mascara does give them the extra push and volume they need. It also does not clump up the lashes.
  • Lancôme Hypnose Doll Lashes (SD Black)
- This is my favorite Mascara. The brush goes from wide to thin from tip to tip. Perfect for extra dramatic lashes.
  • Eye Brow Tweezers
  • Elf Eyelash Curler

Lips:

  • Mac (Rebel)
 - The shade is purple. It is my absolute favorite lipstick and I don't go anywhere with out it. After an hour of wearing it, it does dry up and becomes more of a stain. I love it because It does not rub off easily.
  • NYX Cosmetics (Chaos)
- A very bright red lipstick that stays wet. I have never had to reapply this lipstick. The color does not fade with time passing by.
  • Ulta (208)
 - Think of the hottest coral pink you can think of. This is definitely it. Only thing I don't like about this lipstick is that it doesn't have a name. It does go on smooth and lasts long.
  • Clinique (A Different Grape)
- The shade of this lipstick is more on the brown/ dark purple side. It is perfect for a fall look.
  • Bombshell Cosmetics *Lip Gloss* (Hot Mess)
- This product is another one from my Ipsy collection. This is the perfect dark glossy lip glass. It leaves your lips with a perfect hue of redness and pink without being overly dramatic.
  • Rimmel London *Lip Pencil* (1000 Kisses)
- I use this for the lip liner to my Rebel Lipstick. It is a Purple shade. It lets me draw the perfect outline so I don't mess up when I'm applying the lipstick.
  • Rimmel London *Lip Pencil* (Exagerate)
- Same goes for this lip liner except this is for the Chaos lipstick. It is a red shade.
  • Starlooks Cosmetics *Lip Pencil* (Tipsy)
- Same for this one except this is for the Ulta Lipstick that is the Coral Shade.

As stated before, I think I have perfected my Makeup bag to exactly what I use on a regular basis.
What's in your makeup bag?

What to Expect at a Cuban Thanksgiving.

I am Cuban. I really don't need to say more. Have you ever been to a Cuban party? Have you ever been to a Cuban Thanksgiving? Here are some helpful tips on what to expect at a Cuban Thanksgiving, in case you ever go to one... you can survive!

1. Prepare yourself for a house filled with at least over 40 people. Cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, long lost siblings and family members that you didn't even know you had.

2. Don't be scared at how fast the cubans are speaking. We can speak 1 mile a minute and understand eachother just fine. You'll get the hang of it. Eventually. If not just nod and say si.

3. Don't count on having an early dinner. Dinner wont be served until 10 at night!

4. Bring your own bottle of booze. One cuban per bottle. We drink. A LOT.

5. Count on seeing a lot of expressions and emotions you never even knew existed.

6. Prepare for your ears to hurt by the end of the night. Talking loud is normal. We are not screaming or fighting we are simply having a normal conversation.

7. Once arriving and through out the whole night, prepare yourself for constantly kissing every one on the cheek.

8. Expect to see more Pork and ham than turkey. If theres any turkey at all.

9. There will be a variety of music and dancing. We will go from love, romance and slow dancing, to reggaeton and straight up booty and grinding.

10. Prepare yourself on seeing old ladies join in and possibly even start the bumping and grinding to reggaeton music.

11. You will hear a lot of spanglish talk. Cojelo con take it easy.

12. Count on all the old people asking all the single young people why they are single.

13. Count on all the old people asking the couples when they are having babies.

14. You will hear a lot of baseball talk and how much the Miami Marlins either suck or are doing better. (Mostly suck)

15. Expect to be apart of at least 3 conga dances throughtout the night.

16 . Don't be frightened at the amount of bad words being spoken. Puta & Pinga are more a term of endearment than what you think it means.

17. Count on seeing half of the men wearing a guayabera and smoking a cuban cigar.

18. Expect that Noche Buena (Christmas eve) and El Fin De Año (New Years eve) have already been planned.

Have I left any out?

Happy Thanksgiving

I am that good girl.

Finding someone to spend the rest of your life with in this generation is practically impossible. The odds are stacked against us. Sex is easier to get. Relationships are harder to hold on to. Love is a rare gift now a days. Divorce being at an all time high and marriage being at an all time low, girls like me do not stand a chance. I know a lot of women say it, and more than half believe it, but a small percent are actualy it. Being a good girl. A lady. A woman with morals and beliefs. Someone who is loyal, and respectful, and worth an honest mans time.

A lot of women say it. They are "good girls". Do all of them really mean it?

I am one of those girls that speak the gods honest truth when I say that I am one of them. I am one of those rare good girls. I know it, and everyone around me knows it.

Yes. I have my faults. I know I am not perfect. I over think and I over analyze. I set up stories in my head that are no where near the truth and my brain messes with me into believing them. I nag and sometimes whine. I yell and scream when I am upset, or hurt or angry. I can be a bitch. My jealousy and insecurities lash out more often than not. I am emotional wreck 60 percent of the time.

But with all my faults come so many more stregnths.

When I love, I love hard. I love with everything in my being. And maybe that's a fault as well. Most of you might think it's pathetic, but in my reality it's not. When I give my all to someone, I give them everything. I let go and I skydive and I free fall. It's not pathetic, it's called love. I am the most loyal, trust worthy person anyone can ever have the benefit of being with. I always put the other person first, or at least try to. I will take care of you when you're sick. I will take care of you when you're healthy. I will stick with you in your most horrific moments. I will be by your side when and if you hit rock bottom. I will be with you when money is tight or when theres no money as all. I will be your bestfriend. I will be your team mate, your partner. I will never let you go. I will be around in the happy times, and the excited times. I will be in front of you when you need me to, beside you, and behind you. I know I will be an oustanding wife, and an even more amazing mother.

Because I am a good girl.

I am that girl that your mother hopes and prays comes a long in your life. I am that girl that your friends will be jealous about because I can make you the happiest in the world.

Yes. I have plenty of faults. I will infuriate you and annoy you and push you to your limits. Some days you willl dislike me more than you like me on that specific day.

But I am that girl that will unconditionally love you.

I am that girl that if you ever let go, you will be wondering about why it didn't work out. Why we didn't try harder to fix it. I am that good girl that will stand beside you. Forever. Yes, I am that girl that also believes in Happily ever after, in forever, in fate, in destiny. I am not trying to say that I am the best and that I am perfect. I am far from that and I don't want to come out as cocky.

I just wanted to state the fact that there are still good girls out in this world.

I am that girl. I am that girl that is worth it. I am that good girl.

rant over.

Ipsy Glam Bag Review: November 2015.

I was pretty excited for this months Ipsy Glam Bag. I mean look at the little bag it came with!! So many hues of purple and pink and trippy space. Absolutely love the theme. I was happy with the products that came in this month. Except for the spray and the nail polish. I never ever use hair spray or any of those types of products on my hair. I most likely will give that to my mom or someone who I know uses it consistently. As for the nail polish, I have way to many, I don't need anymore. Trust me. Anyways, lets get on with the review (:

November 2015 Glambag Review: Beauty Blast

Chine Glaze Nail Laquer
Soft Sienna Silk
As stated before, I wasn't please nor disappointed when I got the nail polish. It is a nice color and it goes great for this time of season. China Glaze is an awesome nail polish brand. Their products are pretty long lasting and the colors they have are great. I didn't know how I felt about the shimmer. It also takes a couple coats to get the exact color from the nail polish. I do recommend putting a bottom coat of white to make the color truly stand out.
After reading some reviews? They were mostly mixed. A lot of the reviewers had the same concern as me. It was a little to shimmery. Most said that the color from the bottle did not match once it was placed on the nail. As why I recommended the white bottom coat.
Would I buy or recommend this product? I would recommend the brand of nail polish, but not this specific color.

Beaute Basics
Gel Eyeliner with Gel Eyeliner Brush
Guys! It's Navy Blue. I absolutely love this product. I wouldn't necessarily wear it all the time, but I would definitely rock this. I have Navy Mascara and a Navy Eyeliner pencil. I have boring brown eyes this color always makes my eyes pop. It's very easy to apply and the recipe. Very smooth.
After reading some reviews? Not many liked the shade. Most reviewers would have preferred a normal color (ie brown or black). Everyone loved the product but not the color.
Would I buy or recommend this product? 100% yes! I love the shade and the ease of the brush. It stays on and holds very well.

Smashbox Cosmetics
Full Exposure Mascara
Smashbox Cosmetics has always been a top brand in my makeup collection. Every product I try, I end up loving it. I was very pleased with this mascara. I have absolutely no eye lashes. They are very tiny and barely visible. This mascara changed that. No clumps and very smooth. It reminded me of the blinc mascara and that is my favorite mascara.
After reading some reviews? Positive reviews all around. I did not find one negative comment. It received a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Everyone loved this product.
Would I buy or recommend this product? Yes. I plan on going and getting me a bigger size. This small sample size will run out quick.

Coolway
Stronghold Spray
As stated earlier in this post, I am not a fan of hairspray. I never ever wear it. When I get my hair professionally done, I make sure they don't put any in my hair. If it's a hundred percent necessary that I hat to apply hair spray, than I will only use a little.
After reading some reviews? Many mixed reviews. Most reviewers like the smell of the spray but not the product in itself. Some state that it's way too strong for their hair type. Others say it's not strong enough. It all depends on your hair.
Would I buy or recommend this product? For someone who uses hairspray on a daily basis, yes. I would never buy it for myself. My mother loved it.

Mini Matte Lip Crayon - Chili Red
If you red my previous beauty post regarding my favorite red lipsticks, than you would know that this is my favorite product from the bag this month. I am a huge lipsticks and lip color type of girl. I loved that some of the ingredients in this product was Vitamin E and Monoi Tahittti Butter. To be honest I don't know what the last one is but it sounds healthy for your lips LOL. It goes on smoothly and you can layer it on for a night time look or apply lightly for daytime. It also does not dry out or crack my lips which is a big deal breaker for me.
After reading some reviews? This product got 4 out of 5 stars. Mostly all positive comments. Their were a few that recommended applying lip gloss over it for a more shimmery look. I personal love the matte color.
Would I buy or recommend this product? Absolutely. I loved everything about this product. I loved that it was a matte red shade and that I can use it alone or even as a base coat. Definitely picking up one of these!!

Overall, I was pretty impressed with my glam bag this month. If you want to see last months review click HERE.

Happy Tuesday ♥

Beauty // Red Lipstick Review

Happy Monday I recently just started becoming obsessed with lipsticks. I have always been fond of them, but just last month it became more of an addiction. I plan on making my collection huge! I purchased my first Mac lipstick (Rebel) and I was hooked.

In the last month I went to 3 parties, on a 5 day cruise, and it was Halloween. Atleast 4 out of these 5 events I wanted to wear red lipstick. I hadn't purchased any in a while so I went scrimmaging through my makeup and I found 3 red lipsticks. I thought I should do a little review for some practice before I start hoarding on lipsticks and begin full on beauty reviews!

Yes, I am the weirdo who has been collecting makeup since she was 15 years old and only has 3 shades of red lipstick. I am such a fake lipstick lover ): I could've sworn I had more varieties of red shades, but I actually have more lighter neutral tones. When I was younger I wasn't very fond of dark lipsticks. Today though, the darker the better sexier!

1. NYX Cosmetics - Snow White

I actually wore this Red Shade this past weekend. Please excuse the horrible duck face but it's the only picture I took with the color. I may or may not have been on a nice little buzz LOL. Out of all three shades that I have, this one is definitely my favorite.

Pro: It's not extremely shiny, but it's not exactly matte. It's a perfect balance of both. Also, after wearing it for over 6 hours I only had to retouch my lips once.
Con: The Lipstick stays a tiny bit wet. It does not fully dry out. This annoyed me a bit because if I would touch my lip by accident, it would stain my finger. Which I understand, that happens with a lot of lipsticks but I would prefer it not to.

2. Elizabeth Arden - Cranberry Cream

To be honest, I think this one probably tops NYX with the shade of color and it being completely matte. It was a very close call but it came in second. For some very particular reasons.

Pro: Completely matte!
Con: I had to touch up my lips more than twice. By the end of the night it dried up my lips and you could see the cracks if my skin. To be fair though I had in on for over 8 hours. A huge con is that it's discontinued. I looked all over the internet for it and I don't know if I really trust buying it off Amazon. Good luck finding it.

3. The Color Worshop - (does not have a name on it)

The Color Workshop is a makeup brand that you can get at your local drugstore or Wal-Mart and Target. It's not that it is not a good lipstick brand or a good color because It is, but to me it's more on the cheaper side. Sometimes cheaper brands are always better than more expensive brands, but not in this case.

Pro: Complete Matte with a slight shimmer.
Con: The color was gone after 45 minutes and I had to continuously touch up my lips throught out the night. It is also a much lighter shade than the previous to reds. It's more on the pinkier side.

What are some of your favorite lipstick brands and what red shade of lipstick would you recommend. I would love to hear your opinion.

Stay tuned for a what is in my Makeup Bag post!!

Carnival Victory Day Three; Cozumel, Mexico.

Cozumel, Mexico!! I have never seen water so Navy Blue as I did in Mexico. I've seen crystal Clear water in the Bahamas, but never so blue. It was beautiful. We didn't have to wake up early this stop because we didn't port until 1pm, which was perfect because we got to sleep in and eat breakfast/ lunch lazily without feeling rushed. Straight after we finished eating, we booked the coolest excursion ever. We were at a mixed vote because half wanted to do something on land and the other half wanted to be in the water (ie MEEE). We ended up booking a Dune Buggy & Snorkeling excursion (with all you can eat Mexican Lunch Buffet). It was absolutely awesome!!

We jumped on the buggies for a 15 minute drive to this private beach/ mini resort called Playa Uvas. In Spanish that translates into Grape Beach. I don't know why it's called that so don't ask me. The water was again a gorgeous clear Blue and it was a little chilly but nothing you couldn't get use to the first 10 seconds of being in the water. There were so many little fishies and we saw a sting ray, a puffer fish and a giant sink hole that made the water turn a dirty brown in only one spot. It was so cool!! We went pretty far out to waters nearly 30 feet deep. The current was really strong so we weren't able to go to really far out or even deeper. Another feller excersioner (if that's what you call them) found a conch shell with a live animal inside. Chaz has really good vision and spotted a little baby crab and I was able to play with it for a while. I know I am such a child. I regret so bad not taking my go pro. I didn't want to haul it around and I figured I wasn't going to get any good shots. Boy was I wrong!! The picture down below of Chaz and I was right after we finished snorkeling. Notice the giant goggle marks around our eyes.

After Snorkeling we went to a free Mini Tequila Tour. We were able to get tipsy taste test different brands of Mexican Tequila. Some were very strong and some were delicious. Once we finished our tour and took some awesome Sea Turtle Back drop pictures (my favorite animal) we drove for about 30 minutes to another resort where we had our yummy Mexican Buffet.

Once we got to the beautiful private resort, we stuffed our faces with burritos, tacos, Mexican spaghetti, and other delicious Mexican dishes. We also had Coke that was in Spanish!! Don't worry we didn't drink any of the water LOL. We also had a tiny photo shoot on one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. I believe the little town was called Puerte Morelos, but I am not a hundred percent sure.

Chaz bought a Cuban Cigar and it was pretty tasty. I'm not a smoker at all, let alone cigars, but every once in a while I'll take a puff off of Chaz's just to do a little taste test. After our yummy feast it was time to head back to the ship. We drove through the city of Cozumel for another 30 minutes. It is such a culture shock. Honestly makes you appreciate everything we take for granted.

We got back to the port by night time. It was such a fun excursion and an awesome trip in Mexico. I definitely recommend it. The tour guides were awesome and very funny! We didn't want to head back to the cruise just yet. Leo wanted to buy some souvenirs for his family, so we all took the opportunity to buy little gifts for everyone. After a little bit of shopping we went to Fat Tuesdays, and did a little drinking. Ok, fine a lot of drinking (:

Once back on the ship, we forgo the fancy dinner and decided to join in on the late night Mexican Buffet that the cruise was doing. That was a lot of fun. They had different designs in the watermelon and ice sculptures. It was pretty bad ass. We didn't want the drinking to end so we went back to the room and drank some more. We went dancing for a little while but the music was no good that night. So we opted for some late night Mini Golf. Worse idea ever. When we tried to mini golf the first night, it was pretty hard, but this night was impossible. The wind kept moving the balls around and my hair was all over the place. We gave up trying after maybe about 10 minutes. We went to the Comedy club again. This time I was falling asleep. It had been a busy day. Guess what we did after the comedy show?! PIZZA! Nothing new lol ♥

By the time we were done with our pizza we were pooped. We went back to the room and just hung out and talked shit until we each knocked out one by one. Let's just say that Leo had a little but to much to drink and started putting on a show for us. It included wearing womens underwear but we're not going to get into that. Honestly this was the funnest night of the cruise!

Stay tuned for the next post from out trip "A Day at Sea"
