Friday Favorites // January

I never ever do this link up because my favorites are usually the same for every Friday. They don't change much and I figured I would bore a lot of you with the same favorites and likes all the time. I'm a woman of simple tastes lol. I do enjoy little questionnaires every once in a while though, so I figured I would join in on this link up at least at the end of every month. Sort of like a Monthly Favorites but totally not. Ohh by the way, I just hit 100 posts on my blog. Go check it out here! Also you can join in on the link up fun with Amanda

Favorite Song

Jojo - Say Love
I heard this song for the first time last week and it has been the only song I listen too over and over again.. It's on replay. I learned the chorus within the first 10 minutes of hearing it, and the hole song after listening to it for 3 days straight. Favorite song is an understatement. I have always been obsessed with Jojo, and I this just concreted my love for her. It's pretty old considering it's from last year, but I don't care. It's the greatest song everrrrrr. Plus the guy in the video is very very nice to look at (; Enjoy ladies.

10 Things You Should Never Apologize for!

In a world where everyone has an opinion and everyone is always watching or judging you, not apologizing for things is pretty hard. I'm a person that is somewhat of a pushover for certain things, and it's about time I stop being one and stop apologizing for everything I do. Especially, when someone else doesn't approve.

Ari Turns One, Horse Races, & S'mores; Weekending!!

Have you ever had a weekend where it was non stop moving and doing things, but it was also really calm and relaxing?! That was definitely this past weekend. We did so much, but it wasn't anything overwhelming or crazy. I love weekends like that. I hope your weekend was just as fun as mine (:

On Friday 1.22.16 ♥, I went to Round Up. It's a Country bar that I use to go to religiously. Have I ever mentioned that I know most line dances? Anyways, Chaz was working and I've been in the mood for some Line Dancing so I went with some friends and it was a lot of fun. I haven't been there in months so needless to say that my dancing skills weren't as flawless as I remembered. I messed up so many times, but it was still a blast.

Saturday, 1.23.2016 ♥

On Saturday we celebrated my baby nieces First Birthday. She is my bestfriend Amandas daughter. I wrote about her a year ago, and you can check that post out here . I can't believe she's already going to be a year old. Her actual birthday is Today! It's amazing to think that a year ago I was carrying this tiny little princess in my arms, and now she's running around with an evil laugh and the most gorgeous blue eyes you will ever see.

Her birthday was wonderful. They threw it at a park and the day was beautiful. We were worried about the weather because it had been raining all week, but there was not one cloud in the sky and it was cold. Really cold. In the 50s. I know for most of you that's not much but for us it was freezing and beautiful.

At night, Chaz slept over. We stayed in bed and watched Movies and UFC Fights all night.

Sunday, 1.24.2016 ♥
Another beautiful cold day in Sunny South Florida. In the morning, my parents took my sister kassandra, her boyfriend Leo, and Chaz and I for some delicious Cuban Breakfast. We were so into our food that I didn't realize until we were back at home that I didn't take any pictures ): (I am a horrible blogger).

After breakfast, Chaz and I didn't want to stay inside with the weather being so spectacular. We decided to go and spend the day at Gulf Stream Park. It's a nice outside Mall with many shops, restaurants, a Casino and horse races. If you're ever in town you should definitely check it out. It's a lot of fun. We gambled a bit on the races, lost some money than made some. My favorite part was when we got to take pictures and pet the horses. They are huge, and very intimidating. You can see it in my face in the picture above lol.

After the horse Races we went over our friend Kayla and Davids house for some Yummy S'mores. It was freezing (again) and it was the perfect night for a mini bonfire. We all stuffed our faces and just hung out. It was fun.

When we left we didn't feel like going home yet so we drove around. We found a nice little bench on a lake by Chaz's house but we weren't there for long. I was the idiot who wore sandals instead of boots, and we were freezing our buns off. It was a romantic 5 minutes. We ended up at Steak and shake and had burger and fries. We are such fat asses. Once we got back to the house we cuddles and watched Daddys home. It was a great ending to a fun filled relaxing weekend.

40 Personal Beauty Questions Answered.

1. What skin type do you have?
I would say I have a combination of both dry and Oily. I am more dry along my forehead, my cheeks and my chin. I am most oily around my nose. Before I apply makeup I make sure to moisturize my dry spots and add primer along my oily parts.

2. What is your current facial wash?
I am currently using the Mary Kay Botanical Effects Cleanse formula 3. I absolutely love it and recommend it. It's a cleanser that purifies skin, but also cleanses all your pores and leaves your face feeling silky smooth. It's also wonderful for blemish-prone skin.

3. How many times do you wash your face daily?
Once. Usually when I wake up in the morning.

4. Do you exfoliate?
No. Unfortunately. I need to start though.

5. What moisturizer do you use?
Lubriderm. I began using this moisturizer when I got my first tattoo. I loved the fact that it was sent free and did not leave my skin feeling oily and greasy afterwards. I use it for all my moisturizing needs. I apply it after I shower, after I shave, and when my skin is feeling flaky and dry.

6. Do you use eye cream?
No. I did receive one in one of my Ipsy bags and I haven't used it yet. I think I'll try it out for a bit and do a review on it sometime soon.

7. Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Not to an extreme amount. I was one of the lucky ones that I have pretty clear skin. I get the occasional blemish here and there, especially when my monthly friend comes along, but for the most part I'm always pimple free.

8. What foundation do you use?
Maybelline - Fit Me Foundation (Buff Beige). I got this on a whim. I never ever use foundation. I was at target and honestly picked out the first brand I saw. I tried to match my color as close as possible and I hit it right on the money. I don't use it very often, but when I do, it leaves my skin nice and soft. I'll do a review on it soon.

9. How about concealer?
Yes. I can't live without it. Sheercover - Duo Concealer (Light/Medium). I got this in an Ipsy Glambag years ago and have been using it ever since. I use it mostly as an eye shadow primer as well as a cover up for when I have dark circles under my eyes.

10. Do you know your undertone color?
Yes, I am Neutral. Pop Sugar told me so lol. If you don’t know yours, you can check it here.

11. What do you think of false eyelashes?
I love them. I have very thin short black eyelashes. You can see them, but when I triple coat it with Mascara or actually wear fake eyelashes they make my eyes pop. I am all for the fake eyes ladies.

12. Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes. I read that with all the bacteria surrounding your makeup, you should switch it out more often than not. I never follow this rule unfortunately.

13. What brand of mascara do you use?
I have switched my Mascara brand like I switch my panties. I am currently using two different ones. Wet & Wild Max Volume Plus Mascara. It gives my eyelashes the extra push and volume it needs. It leaves them very dramatic but with no clumps. I also use LancĂ´me Hypnose Doll Lashes. The tip goes from estra thick to thin and is perfect for the cat eye look.

14. Eye liner pencil or Eye liner liqud?
That's a tough one because each of these products do different jobs. I like using an eye liner pencil for my water line and for when I want to add a smudged liner to my top line. I like the liquid liner when I want my eyes to have the precise perfect line.

15. What tools do you use in make-up application?
What don't I use? Eyebrushes, powder brushes, every kind of brushes. Lips stick pencils. etc. etc. My favorite took is my ring finger though. They are the most amazing brush.

16. Do you use make-up base/primer?
Rarely. As stated before I use my concealer as a primer for my eyes. I have base and primer in my makeup collection, but I barely touch them.

17. What is your favourite eye shadow (color or shade)?
The Original Naked Palatte from Urban Decay has my favorite shade. It's Sin. I love that it's a neutral color with shimmer. I can use it as a base, or the main color. It's my absolute favorite! I use it almost everyday.

18. Do you use an eyelash curler?
Sometimes. I don't feel it's always necessary. If you have a great enough mascara it should do the job for you. I also try not using it because sometimes I feel as if it does pull some hair out. Do you know how long it takes eyelashes to grow?! FOREVER.

19. How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Not often at all. Maybe in the beginning when I was first starting with makeup. Now, I can usually use my eyeliner pencil without a mirror. Not that I do, but I'm saying I can if it's the last resort lol.

20. What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
I like them. I try to stay clear of them because they are so messy, but they do give your eyes that exact color you see instead of having to cake on layers.

21. What is your favorite lipstick?
Oh this is the easiest question on here. Rebel by Mac. It was my first expensive lipstick purchase and If I could, I would wear it with every outfit!

22. How about lip gloss?
I have a few, but I never use them. I don't like how it leaves my lips wet. I'm more into the matte look and feel. I also don't like that it rubs off quickly and I have to continuously reapply it.

23. Do you ever buy any make-up on eBay/Amazon?
Yes I have actually. The liquid eyeliner I use, I couldn't find at target anymore, so I went online and bought 3 of them. I have a stock that should last me sometime.

24. Do you like drug store make-up?
I live off it. You don't need to buy expensive makeup products to find quality makeup. Hello. Elf. Wet & Wild. Some of the best products I find, are inexpensive and the quality is 10 times better than products with high price tags.

25. Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I've gone to makeup parties where they teach you stuff, but I've never gone to an actual class. That's what YouTube is for. It's free.

26. Hardest make-up trick?
Perfectly matching my cat eyes.
27. Name a make-up crime that you hate.
When people don't outline their lips properly. I understand you want to make your lips look fuller, but I can see where you real lip ends and your skin starts!

28. Crazy colored make-up?
On the weekends yes. I like using blues and reds, and trying out wild colors. I don't do it as often as I would like though. Maybe add that to my makeup goals list.

29. In your opinion. which celebrity always has great make-up?
Angelina Jolie. She always looks so classy and elegant, and most of the time is wearing beautiful nude colors. When she wears red lipstick though. GASP! Her makeup is always on point.

30. If you could leave the house using just ONE make-up item, what would you pick?
Lipstick. You can have nothing on your face and just a little bit of lip color and it will brighten up your face instantly.

31. Could you ever leave the house without any make-up on?
I do it every morning for work. Sometimes I apply a little bit of makeup but rarely. I'm stuck in an office all day. No point in wasting beautiful makeup.

32. Do you think you look good without any make-up on?
Yes. More often than not. I like how I look with makeup on, but I prefer natural beauty. On anyone, not just me.

33. In your opinion, what is the BEST make-up brand?
Now, this is the hardest question on here. It all depends on the products, because some brands are amazing in one department, and average in another. For example I love Mac Lipsticks, and Urban Decays Eye shadows. I love Elfs brushes, and Wet and Wild's eyeliners. It all depends on the product.

34. How many times do you wash your hair per week?
I'm a rare breed. Maybe once or twice a week. I have really strong healthy hair, and I believe that's because I don't apply many products or heat to my hair. After I was I let it air dry, I don't apply unnecessary chemicals. I tend to leave my hair alone and I believe that's why it's as healthy as it is, even with the blonde thing I have going on now.

35. What Shampoo and Conditioner do you use?
Tresseme Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner. This is the only shampoo that makes my hair easy to brush through when it is wet. I have very thick hair that gets tangles easily and with any other shampoo it's practically impossible to brush through.

36. When was the last time you got a haircut?
I cut my tips one month yes one month no when I go get my roots done. My hair grows faster than average, and the more I cut my tips and keep it healthy the more my hair grows.

37. Do you style your hair with heat everyday?
No. Once a week at most, if that. I usually just let my hair air dry. It's pretty straight regularly without applying heat.

38. Have you ever had a bad colouring done?
Once and it was the worst experience of my life. I had dyed my hair black and I was ready to lighten it up again. I went to the same guy I always go to and instead of actually trying to lighten up the color (I understand its a long excruciating process) he just bleached it with highlights. I had black and orange hair. I looked like I was ready for Halloween. I immedietly went home bawling my eyes out and dyed it back to black. A few months later I found this amazing hairstylist who was able to take out all the black color, lightened up my hair and left my hair very healthy. She is still my current hairstylist today.

39. Buns or Ponytails?
Buns. I like pony tails too, but I feel like Buns are classier. I use ponytails when I don't really feel like styling my hair.

40. What hair trend do you like best?
I'm really digging the short hair look. I wish I could rock short hair, but I have a round face with chubby cheeks. Short hair would make me look bigger and wider.

First Confessions of the year.

I confess // that I am in love with this cold winter weather in South Florida that we are having. I'm really digging the chilly breeze with the clear blue Skies and the sun shining. The "finally getting to wear sweaters and boots" is a huge plus too. I finally get to bring out cute outfits rather than shorts & sandals.
I confess // that I check my mailbox two - three times a day to see if any Happy Mail has come in. I've ordered from 20 different Etsy shops and I can't wait until everything has been delivered so I can finally do my Kate Spade Wellesley Planner post!
I confess // that you can never have too many bonfire and S'mores nights in one week, especially in this wintery weather. I had one yesterday with my sisters and I plan on having another one tonight with Chaz and his friends. I CAN'T WAIT. S'mores are the best thing invented in the entire planet.
I confess // That we're almost done with the first month of January and my New Year goals are already falling by the waist side. I need to stop being a fatty and go to the gym. Working out my jaw by chewing isn't making me stay skinny. I also need to stop splurging my $$$. I need to save SAVE SAVE.
I confess // I haven't changed my cracked phone screen because I have been too lazy and I don't want to spend dinero on it. I am getting pretty annoyed of not knowing if my selfies look good -.-
I confess // that I hope that my meeting today at 6 goes good. It would be a dream come true if it does happen. Shhh. Fingers crossed. No jinxing it.
I confess // I am super bummed that I am not going to Chili Cook off this year. This will be the first year in the last 3 that I am not going. I don't hang out with the same people from the previous years, and the people I do hang out with now, aren't going. So who am I going to go with?! Who knows, maybe the heavens will align and by some magic miracle, I do get to go... We'll see.
I confess // I am excited for Disney next month!!! I'm already looking at cute Minnie Ears to buy. I'm thinking either Little mermaid, or the Ursala octopus leg one. They have so many cute ones on Etsy.

Three Things I Need to Change About Me.

We all have things about ourselves that we want to change, and things we want to work on. I have many things that I would like to improve about myself, but there are three very important things that I want to fix, and three rules that I want to remember at all times.

This past weekend, It came to my attention, that I have a potty mouth. I've always known that I curse every once in a while, but apparently I cuss like a sailor. There's nothing wrong with that, and if you have a potty mouth too, high five for being in the same club. But... I want out of that club. A bad word every now and then is ok, but I say balls. shit. fuck. without even knowing that it comes out of my mouth. I'm going to be a teacher soon and I can't be using those words in front of students. It's just not appropriate. It's not lady like or classy. (Yes, I'm all about the classiness now)
So, Rule 1. No more cursing. EVER!
I have this little teeny weenie problem that I know most girls have. I lack Confidence. I am insecure with myself 70% of the time. I want that to change. I can be confident, and sometimes even overly confident, but not as often as I would like. Confidence equals positive vibes and positive vibes are Key to be successful in life. Confidence means believing in yourself and knowing your self worth. There is nothing more sexier and attractive than that. I want to be in love with myself. Confidence will help you out in your job, in your relationships, and in your everyday life.
So, Rule #2 Start being Confident all the time!

This has never been an issue with me. There is nothing more of what I believe in, in this life than Love. Love is the surrounding core of this universe. Without love there is nothing. What I do need to work on is always loving. Continuously. Non stop. Never hating. Recently, I went through some things, that would alter a persons emotions towards love, but I didn't let it defer that in me. I want to always remember to love with everything I have no matter the cause and no matter the affect.
Rule #3 Always Love with everything you have.
What are three important things you would like to better yourself in?

Noels 25th Birthday Weekend!

This last weekend was one for the books. One of Chaz's closest friends Noel, turned 25 this past Tuesday, and this weekend we decided to Celebrate her big day and drive down a bit more south and enjoy some sunny Florida Keys weather. It had been raining all week, but the weather was beyond gorgeous while we were down there. We went on a Glass Bottom Boat Tour in Key Largo, and they took us to Molasses Reef. We saw a shark and thousands of beautiful fishes. If you would like to check out their cruises you can click here. They have great group packages and deals. They also have a bar on the boat where you can enjoy a nice sail out on the water with yummy drinks and snacks. It was a blast.

After the Glass Bottom Boat Cruise, we ate lunch and went to our hotel. We stayed at the Sunset Cove. It's under construction at the moment because they are renovating, but it is such an awesome little spot. We slept 10 comfortably and a 3 month old baby in a little suite. They are very spacious, comes with 4 beds, a pull out bed and enough room for an inflatable mattress. We even had enough room for baby Dawsons crib. The suite comes with a fridge, a microwave, and huge back patio. It's walking distance from the beach and is surrounded by bars and restaurants.
My favorite part of the little hotel were the outside hammocks and grills. We ended up having BBQ chicken and just hanging out on the Hammocks or at the beach. It was a real good time. If you're interested in the nice little spot, you can check more about it here.

The next morning, we got up and had breakfast than went to Shell World. It's a big Gift Shop right in the center of Key Largo. I bought a cute Decal for my card that says Mermaid life. I'll show you once I put it on. We also had a little fun in the store.

We got back to Ally's house and hung out, and played some more beer pong. Ally's dad invited us all over for dinner. It was absolutely delicious. We had pasta, and meatballs, and salad, and garlic bread oh my. I was in Italian food Heaven. We all came out of there with food babies.

At night time, it was Fight night. Chaz and are are big UFC fans so we try to watch as many fights as possible. This fight was free. It was awesome. We had our usual fight night date night. Dominic Cruz, who was the fighter we were rooting for, won!

It was a great ending to an amazing weekend.
